Watch – Chamika karunaratne lost his 4 teeth while taking a catch

Chamika Karunaratne sustained an painful injury during Lanka Premier League.

In the game between Kandy Falcons and Galle Gladiators in the Lanka Premier League at Hambantota in Sri Lanka, Chamika was fielding inside the 30-yard circle in the off-side and ran back to take a catch but he misjudged the ball while grabbing it.

The ball struck at Chamika’s face after which he took the catch. With the blow, Chamika lost four of his teeth and was sent back to a private hospital immediately in Galle. Later the Kandy Falcons Team Director said the all-rounder is stable and will be available for the Kandy stage.

Earlier this year, Chamika Karunaratne was banned from all forms of cricket for one year by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for breaching some rules. SLC has not revealed the breaches however said that the player had pleaded guilty to all the charges levelled against him. He was also fined $5,000, the board said in a statement.
