Asia Cup is about to take place in less than a month. The T20 format tournament will be played in UAE which was earlier scheduled in Sri Lanka. The tournament will commence from 27th August and the final will take place on 11th September in Dubai.
India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan are the top 5 teams for the tournament while UAE, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuwait will be fighting one another to qualify as the sixth team.
It is noted that India, Pakistan and the team which will qualify as the 6th team are placed in Group A whereas Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be facing one another in group B. The first game of the tournament will be encountered between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
India will kickstart their tournament journey by facing their arch-rivals Pakistan on 28th August. Star Sports recently released a video of 40 seconds in which captain Rohit Sharma is talking about winning Asia Cup for the 8th time. Furthermore, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi can also be seen in the video signifying the importance of the game between two arch-rivals.
