Times shared with the fans are one of the most treasured moments for the players. Indian pacer Deepak Chahar spent one such moment in the Zimbabwe series.
The swing star made a great comeback in the international circuit after having a six-month-long break due to injury.
The right-arm pacer clinched three wickets for just 27 in the 1st ODI. All Of his wickets came inside the powerplay that broke the backbone of Zimbabwe’s top-order in that match. Not only his teammates but also the locals were also impressed by the charm of his spell.
The local journalists, and ground staff, all wanted to have a glimpse and snaps of Chahar. One of the funniest yet cutest moments happened when one female fan asked him, “Can I touch you?” while taking a selfie with Chahar. After getting Chahar‘s permission she put her hand on his shoulder and took the photo. Later it was found that she was a member of the family of a Zimbabwe player.
Another female fan said, “We are very happy, he was so humble and cute“, about her interaction with Deepak.
The T20 WC is knocking at the door. Indian fans are eager to see the Rajasthani pacer in the blue jersey there.
When Chahar was asked about the chance of his selection, he said, “I can’t say if I will be selected or not as that’s not in my hands but skill wise I have worked very hard. I think I have picked up from where I had left and today also barring first two overs, I bowled well. I bowled seven overs at one go which is an indicator that my fitness levels are okay.”
