The right-arm pacer clinched three wickets for just 27 in the 1st ODI. All Of his wickets came inside the powerplay that broke the backbone of Zimbabwe’s top-order in that match. Not only his teammates but also the locals were also impressed by the charm of his spell.
The local journalists, and ground staff, all wanted to have a glimpse and snaps of Chahar. One of the funniest yet cutest moments happened when one female fan asked him, “Can I touch you?” while taking a selfie with Chahar. After getting Chahar‘s permission she put her hand on his shoulder and took the photo. Later it was found that she was a member of the family of a Zimbabwe player.
