Ben Stokes compared his in form batter Harry Brook with India’s star batsman Virat Kohli.
England thrashed the hosts by 26 runs and took an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series. It is Pakistan’s third consecutive loss in tests at their home soil. On Day 4 of test match, Pakistan were on 198/4 and chasing 355 runs but their innings collapsed on the score of 326.
Harry Brook played an important role in England’s victory by scoring a crucial hundred in the second innings. Brook slammed 108 runs off 149 deliveries in the second innings and aided England in putting a respectable target. Brook has been phenomenal in the ongoing series as he also scored a century in the previous match and became the fastest centurion for England in tests.
“He’s one of those rare players that you look across all formats and you can just see him being successful everywhere. It’s a massive shout, but Virat Kohli is one of those guys where his technique is just so simple and works everywhere. The pressure that he puts back onto opposition is exactly what we’re about,” Stokes compared Brook with Kohli.
