Aaron Finch after winning the toss invited England to bat first. England’s opener fell off early while batting first but Dawid Malan kept anchoring the innings while maintaining the run rate. Malan got a good support from all-rounder Moeen Ali.
Malan slammed 83 runs in just 49 deliveries while Moeen Ali scored 43 runs. While chasing, no Aussie batter looked good batting Mitchell Marsh & Tim David. Marsh maintained his terrific form and whacked 45 runs & Tim David played a remarkable cameo of 40 runs but it was not enough to help England win the game.
Talking about Ben Stokes, In the 12th over Sam Curran bowled a length delivery to Mitchell Marsh. Marsh lofted the delivery over long-off where Stokes was standing. Stokes stopped the ball from going over the ropes by a splendid dive and saved 5 runs for his team.
