Earlier, Glenn Phillips took a stunning catch which is the best catch of the tournament so far and now Barry McCarthy of Ireland stunned everyone with his superb fielding effort with his presence of mind at the boundary line against Australia in Group A game.
On the second delivery of the 14th over, Australian batter played a lofted shot high in the sky which was destined to be six but Barry McCrathy who was fielding at long-on dived backwards and threw the ball being in air towards his fellow fielder Josh Little before falling over the rope.
Talking about the game, Australia posted a total of 179 runs on the board in 20 overs owing to captain Aaron Finch’s remarkable fifty. Marcus Stoinis also played a fine cameo of 35 runs. McCarthy after showing his genius fielding effort picked 3 wickets conceding just 29 runs in 4 overs.
