Deepak Chahar who was making his comeback after a long injury perfomed outstandingly in the first ODI of the 3-match series against Zimbabwe.
Deepak Chahar suffered a hamstring during home series against West Indies. Since then, he was out of action for 6 months, even he couldn’t be the part of IPL where he was bought by CSK for INR 14 crore. Chahar picked 3W haul in his comeback game and must have impressed the selectors for upcoming T20 World Cup team selection.

Deepak replied that When you are out for such a long time, you are always eager to make a comeback. It was a tough phase. He was waiting for a long time to come back and play for India again.
His plan remains simple, when the ball is swinging try to bowl fuller length and take wickets. If the ball isn’t swinging, then there is a plan ‘B’ or ‘C’. Today, it was swinging till the seventh over that I was bowling. So it was simple — bowl a fuller length and mix the swing and confuse the batter, Chahar added
