Bangladesh defeated India by 1 wicket in a nail-biting thriller.
India after batting first could manage to score just 186 runs by losing all of their wickets. KL Rahul was the top-scorer from Indian side who hammered 73 runs off 70 deliveries and helped India reach a decent score. Shakib-Al-Hasan dismantled Indian batting lineup by picking five-wicket haul.
While chasing, Bangladesh too struggled to achieve the target and had almost 9 of their wickets on the score of 136 but it Mehidy Hasan Miraz who took responsibility to help Bangladesh get over the line. Mehidy and Mustafizur Rahmad made valuable partnership of 51-run and helped Bangladesh take 1-0 lead in the series.
Mehidy Hasan scored remarkable 38 runs off 39 balls but during his innings, he got two lifelines due to misfielding of Indian players. On the fourth delivery of 43rd over of Shardul Thakur, Mehidy sliced the ball towards the third man.
Washington Sundar who was fielding there, couldn’t attempt to grab the ball and it fell in front of him. Captain Rohit Sharma seemed frustrated and furious seeing Sundar’s fielding and uttered “What the fk, Bhe*cd,” angrily.
