Indian Captain Hardik Pandya was seen abusing his teammates Harshal Patel and Ishan Kishan in the 2nd T20I of the series against Ireland which made the fans burst into criticism against him.
India took on Ireland at the Village, Dublin on 28th June for the 2nd and last T20I of the series. Indian captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bat first. India was able to put up a huge total of 225 runs in 20 overs with help of Deepak Hooda’s ton and Sanju Samson’s 77 runs. Ireland came up with a massive comeback and the spectators saw a nail-biting finish as Ireland lost by only 4 runs.
But an unimpressive incident happened during the 11th over. On the 5th ball, Harshal Patel struck a ball on an Irish Batsman’s pad and went on appealing. But the umpire didn’t respond. Harshal and the Wicket-Keeper Ishan Kishan both convinced Hardik to go for a review. But it was seen in the replay that the impact of the ball was outside off stump.
Hardik was not happy with both the players and looked agitated. He was also seen to exchange some heat with those two players. Fans aren’t happy at all with this behaviour of Hardik Pandya.
Though it’s not the first time for the junior Pandya that he lost his cool. In IPL too he was seen abusing senior Indian pacer Md. Shami for dropping a catch. He was hugely criticized for his behaviour. Now again he has done this. If he doesn’t bring change in this type of behaviour, this might be an obstacle for him to establish himself as a skipper.
