As many cricket experts and former Indian cricketers are opining about the right team combination for T20 World Cup, Wasim Jaffer couldn’t stay behind in the list.
Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer reckoned that Virat Kohli should be India’s number 3 for the upcoming T20 World Cup while Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul should open the innings. He also stated that players like Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson & Ishan Kishan should also be the part of the squad.
44-year-old Jaffer feels that India’s chances to win the upcoming T20 World Cup are bright. The aggressive approach India has obtained is the right way to compete in the World Cup. Jaffer further added that one must transform and adapt himself to the format otherwise he will no longer exist.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has been going through the worst form of his career. He is looking utterly out of touch. In the previous white ball series against England, he could not leave a fine impression. Virat Kohli must be looking to play Asia Cup and regain his old touch.
Lately there has been chaos in the Indian team in selecting the right team combination as there are many new players who deserve the chance more than the experienced players who are out of form. It will be interesting to see with whom selectors are rooting for.
