Sehwag named Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul & Rohit Sharma as top 3 Indian batters for the upcoming World Cup. It is surprising to see that he left out India’s greatest T20I batsmen Virat Kohli from this list. However Virat Kohli has not been seen in a good touch for a while still player of his calibre should not be underestimated.
Virender Sehwag stated that India has a lot of options to try for the world Cup but he has immense trust in Ishan, Rahul & Rohit. He added that left-right combination of Ishan Kishan and Rohit or Kishan and Rahul would be appropriate for the tournament.
Ishan Kishan has been seen in phenomenal touch for India in T20 Cricket. In last t20 game against Ireland, he became the youngest Indian batter to score 500 runs in T20I cricket. He also made place in ICC top 10 rankings for batsmen after having a splendid series against South Africa. Kl Rahul also showed his great form in IPL 20202. He remained the second highest run-scorer in IPL 2022.
Virender Sehwag mentioned pace sensation Umran Malik in his interview by Sony Network. He said that Umran Malik should also be an integral part of India’s squad for T20 Cup in Australia. Umran Malik has impressed him the most among the pacers.
He further added that he should be included in the Indian squad and lead the bowling attack alongside Jasprit Bumrah & Mohammad Shami. Umran Malik’s skills and talent will definitely help him in earning place in all three formats for India.
