Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting commended India’s star batter Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli was the highest run-getter in the T20 world Cup 2022 scoring 295 runs at an average of 98 with the help of 4 fifties. Ricky Ponting could not stop praising Kohli for his terrific performance. “Virat Kohli is my Player Of The Tournament”, said Ponting after Sam Curran won player of the tournament.
Ponting also heaped a huge praise on Kohli’s splendid innings against Pakistan in the first game. It’s going to go down as one of the most remembered and talked about shots probably in – I won’t say white-ball cricket history – but certainly T20 World Cup history,” he told the T20 World Cup website.
However, Kohli’s brilliant stint could not help India in reaching final as they got knocked out in semifinal by losing to England. Now, India will play T20 series against New Zealand from 18th november.
