Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 mini-auction is taking place.
Few players got higher bids and some big names went unsold. Punjab Kings who had the second biggest pursed spent their ₹18.5 crore in buying England’s star all-rounder Sam Curran. With this bid, Curran becomes the most expensive player in the history of IPL surpassing Virat Kohli’s ₹17 crore salary.
After Sam Curran, it was Cameron Green who was sold at the highest price. 5-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians bought Green for whopping ₹17.50 crore. With this bid, Cameron Green becomes the second costliest player in IPL history.
England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes who missed the previous IPL season was bought by 4-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings for 16.25 crore. Ben Stokes & Ravindra Jadeja will be seen playing with each other for the first time.
