Top 3 India batsmen with the most runs in Asia Cup history

Asia Cup is the biggest continental cricket tournament for Asian Teams. Teams like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan have participated in the tournament.

India have been the top team in this tournament, winning it for 6 times in their 13 appearances followed by Sri Lanka (4) and Pakistan (2). Last Asia Cup which was played in T20 format was clinched by Team India beating Bangladesh in the finals.

The 15th edition of Asia Cup will start from 27th August in Sri Lanka in T20 format. Here is the list of leading run-scorers from India in Asia Cup

  1. Sachin Tendulkar – Regarded as ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin tops the list in scoring most runs for India in Asia Cup History. Sachin has smashed 971 runs in the tournament with as astonishing average of 51 and strike rate of 85. He has scored 2 hundreds & 7 half centuries in this tournament.
  2. Rohit Sharma – Hitman Rohit Sharma is at number two in scoring most runs in Asia Cup for India. Mumbai batter has scored 883 runs in the tournament in which 745 runs came in ODI format and 138 runs came in T20I format. He has scored 883 runs with an average of 43 including one hundred and 8 fifties. Under his captaincy, India was able to win Asia Cup 2018.
  3. Virat Kohli – ‘King of Cricket’ and one of the most renowned batsmen of the generation, Virat Kohli has scored the third most runs for India in Asia Cup history. In the 14 innings he played, he smashed 766 runs with an outstanding average of 63. He has scored 613 runs in ODI format and 153 runs in T20 format with the help of 3 hundreds and 2 fifties.
