Players are competing hard with one another to fix their place for upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
Rishabh Pant & Dinesh Karthik are the two major picks for wicket-keeper role for the World Cup. Rishabh Pant has been in stupendous form in longer formats, the reason selectors are keeping faith in him for the T20 World Cup whereas Dinesh Karthik recently showed his potential in IPL and recent T20 series which fixed his place in the national team.
Speaking to Zee Hindustan on the competition with Dinesh Karthik for wicket-keeper spot in the T20I line-up for the Asia Cup, Pant said that they don’t think about that. They always want to contribute their 100 per cent to the team. Rest depends on the coach and the captain and how the team could get an advantage from that.
Both Rishabh and Karthik have been given rest for the odi series against Zimbabwe. Last time they played together was against West Indies in T20 series. Both the players are selected for the upcoming Asia Cup in UAE taking place from 27th August.
