Steve Smith stated series win in India is bigger than Ashes win.

Australia’s star batter and one of the best test batters of this generation, Steve Smith feels that winning test series against India in India tougher than the Ashes they play against England. Australia have a very poor record in India winning just one test since 2004.

“It’s a difficult place to win… a Test match let alone a Test series. So you know if we’re able to topple that mountain that would be huge. I think if we can win India that would be bigger than an Ashes series,” said Smith.

India thrashed Australia in their den in the test series in 2018 (Led by Virat Kohli & 2021 (Led by Rohit Sharma) and became the only asian team to defeat Australia in Australia in test series. Australia might be looking forward to avenge the last couple of series defeats.
