Eventually BCCI president Sourav Ganguly broke his silence on the status of Jasprit Bumrah’s injury.
There were many reports that were saying that Bumrah won’t be the part of India’s squad for T20 Cup world in Australia due to ‘back stress fracture’ but BCCI president ensured the media that there may be still a chance that Bumrah will travel for Australia.
“No. Bumrah is not out of the World Cup yet. Let’s see what happens. Fingers crossed. I don’t know (if he will travel to Australia). We will find out in 3-4 days. We have got our fingers crossed. Don’t rule him out yet,” Ganguly told RevSportz in a video posted on its Twitter account.
Due to the injury, Bumrah was ruled out of whole Asia Cup 2022 but he made a comeback in T20 series against Australia and helped India in winning the series by 2-1. He was also selected in T20 series for South Africa but ruled out before playing the first game.
