Smriti Mandhana speaks after crushing Pakistan in CWG 2022

Indian Women team triumphed over their arch-rivals Pakistan in their second game of Commonwealth Games Womens Cricket Competition 2022 by 8 wickets after losing the first match to Australian Women.

Pakistan women after winning the toss, elected to bat first but they could not kick off well as their opener Iram Javed walked away on the score of 0. However, Muneeba Ali & Bismah Maroof tried to repair the damage but at the score of 50 Maroof gifted her wicket to Sneh Rana and Muneeba Ali followed her after 3 deliveries.

Pakistan women could not get the chance to straighten up their innings and they collapsed on the score of 99. Sneh Rana & Radha Yadav took 2-2 wickets. While chasing, India did not face any difficulty and by the aid of Smriti Mandhana’s 63(44) knock, India chased down the target with 50 balls to spare.

Smriti Mandhana shined in the massive wicket of Team India. Smriti after the match, spoke in post match presentation and said that they want to win every game from here, and able to stand on the podium and can see Indian flag going higher.

Mandhana further stated that they looked at it as a very crucial game as they needed two points at any cost. They knew that they needed to thrash Pakistan as well as the Barbados to qualify.

Indian woman have to take on Barbados in their third group game and beating them will ensure their chances of qualifying for the semi-final and winning medal for the country.
