Shikha Pandey returns to India’s Women’s team squad for the T20 World Cup & Tri Series.
Shikha played her last T20I game for India a year ago and now She is the part of both World Cup squad & Tri-series. The tri-series will be played from 19th January involving the teams India, South Africa & West Indies. The World Cup campaign will kickoff from 10th february with the first match to be played between South Africa & Sri Lanka.
A year ago, Shikha Pandey stunned everyone with a magical delivery. Against Australia, On the first delivery of the first over, Alexa Healy smashed Shikha for a four, on the following delivery, Shikha’s delivery took a sharp inswing with very noticable deflection and the ball knocked off Healy’s stumps.
Shikha took to her twitter account and expressed her happiness & gratitude for getting picked in the Indian squad after a wait of 1 year. She wrote “I had put this small poster up on my bedroom wall in February as an affirmation. My heart is filled with gratitude for everyone who stood by me this gone year and I am truly humbled by all your wishes. Hard work continues.”
