Ravindra Jadeja suffers Knee Injury, ruled out of two ODIs against Windies

The 3-match ODI series between India and West Indies has started today, on 22nd July at 7:00 PM IST. Port of Spain, Trinidad has hosted the first game while WI’s have won the toss to Bowl.

The game headed to a storm for Team India and the fans as all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who was all set to be the vice captain for India in the series is ruled out. He will miss the first two ODIs of the three-match series on account of a knee injury the player has suffered.

He recently played two out of 3 ODIs against England in July with a fair contribution to the team.

The news merely builds pressure on Team India as they are to play the series without Skipper Rohit Sharma and wonders like Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul (tested positive for Covid-19) .

A decision is yet to be taken regarding the participation of Jadeja in the third ODI as BCCI has stated.

West Indies, all-rounder Jason Holder has missed out on the first ODI aswell after testing positive for Covid-19 prior the game as informed by captain Nicholas Pooran at the toss.
