After having a brilliant season with the bat in Rajasthan Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal with the bat, he continued his form in the Ranji Trophy semi-final for his state Mumbai and smashed two tons in two innings (100 in the first innings and 181 in the second innings) which helped Mumbai to qualify for the Grand-final of the historic tournament.
In the semifinal, he showed a lot of grit and determination when he got off the mark on his 54th delivery. He spoke to Timesofindia.com after the match and told he planned to spend as much as time in the middle. And all the training in the nets as well as the accompaniment he got in the Rajasthan Royals camp has helped him to be a better player.
But the fans left shocked when this young star revealed his wish to be the greatest all-rounder in the world. He also added that he is serious about it and worked a lot on his ‘leg-spin’ bowling too with Ravi Ashwin and Yuzi Chahal while the IPL season.
He thinks at this point this dream seems to be far away from him but with his determination, he can take his bowling to the next level. He also reminded everyone that he bowls regularly in U-19 and U-23 India matches regularly and sometimes in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. So if he continues to work on that it’s not impossible to bowl consistently at the highest level.
As they say, dreams come true with determination, if this young sensation can work harder to fulfill his wish he would certainly be an integral part of his domestic teams, and who knows for team India one day in the ‘all-rounder’ category.
