With many of the stalwarts rested, India has won yet another ODI series on foreign shores. Even though
the first two ODI’s were touch & go, India was confident. The match yesterday was one-sided, and now
it’s time for the T20 series.
Many players who played in the ODI’s would be rested now with Rohit Sharma back at the helm. The
five- match series is an international affair! They would play the first three in the Caribbean Islands, and
both the teams would board the aircraft and travel to the USA. They would contest the final two
matches on American soil in a bid to increase the game’s popularity.
Now, the question is who would be chosen to play in the T20 series. Here is our probable XI.
- Rohit Sharma (C)
- Rishabh Pant (VC)
- Shreyas Iyer / Ishan Kishan
- Surya Kumar Yadav
- Hardik Pandya
- Ravindra Jadeja
- Dinesh Karthik
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar
- Harshal Patel
- Arshdeep Singh
- Ravi Bishnoi/ Kuldeep Yadav.
The options are many, and the Indian think- tank would decide after inspecting the pitch and weather
conditions.
Conclusion:
The Indians would enter this series as hot favorites, but the West Indies are not pushovers in this
format. Time and again, they have won International tournaments against the odds. Rohit Sharma is
well aware and bound to put his best foot forward.
