“Pehle Match ko Close kar”, Hardik Pandya’s advice to Rishabh Pant while batting
Hardik Pandya smashed 71 runs and played an important role in victory in 3rd ODI, but the player who stole the show was no other than Rishabh Pant whose spectacular innings made him player of the match.
Rishabh Pant & Hardik Pandya had 133 runs partnership for the 6th wicket. The understanding between these two during the partnership was one of the factors India chased the target easily. Hardik Pandya talked about his partnership with Rishabh Pant in post match presentation.
Hardik said that he was repeating the same thing again and again, it was necessary that they should not take any risk. The kind of skills Rishabh and he posses, they could easily make runs without any risk. It was all about not losing their wickets, only way England would have made comeback if they lost back to back wickets. He was repeating the same thing, to bring the match close by having a good partnership.
Hardik added that he told Rishabh that close the match first and then you can relish. Pant was little bit stuck earlier but eventually he began playing his shots and it is known when Rishabh starts playing his own shot, his partners have to sit back and let Rishabh do his own thing.
Hardik and Pant will be seen playing in 5-match T20 series against West Indies starting from July, 29.
