Paytm is no longer Team India’s title sponsor for bilateral series
Payment company Paytm is set to end their 7-year title sponsor deal with BCCI. MasterCard is going to replace Paytm as the new title sponsor of BCCI for India’s domestic and International series at home.
In 2015, Paytm signed a deal of title sponsor with BCCI at 2.4 crore per match. The contract renewed in 2019 for another 4-year at 3.8 crore per match but Paytm have decided to end the contract one year early as they requested BCCI to sign the deal with MasterCard for the title sponsor which BCCI accepted.
We will see Indian cricketers wearing jersey on which MasterCard is written on the center from September in the T20 series against Australia at home. The series will commence from September, 20 and will last till September, 25. After the series, Indian is set to play 3-match ODI & T20 series against Proteas at home.
Before the series against Australia and South Africa, Team India is scheduled to tour Zimbabwe for 3-match ODI series starting from 18th August. Indian team is currently in Caribbean playing ODI series and they will also be playing T20 series from July, 29.
