Several records were broken during Tamil Nadu vs Arunachal Pradesh match in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022.

Tamil Nadu’s star batter N Jagadeesan continued his terrific form and slammed 277 runs off just 141 deliveries against Arunachal Pradesh in Group C game of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 in Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Arunachal Pradesh after winning the toss, opted to bowl first but their decision was regretful as Tamil Nadu openers added 416 runs in 38.3 overs for the first wicket. Sai Sudharsan was dismissed by Techi Doria for 154 off 102 balls by smashing 19 fours & 2 sixes.

Here are the records which were broken in this game.

1 Jagadeesan’s 277 off 141 deliveries is now the highest-ever List A score. He broke the previous record of Alistair Brown, who smashed 268 runs for Surrey in 2002.

2 With his hundred against Arunachal Pradesh, Jagadeesan also became the first-ever batter to slam five consecutive hundreds in List A cricket.

3 Jagadeesan now also holds the record of scoring the most hundreds in a single season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. This record of previously held by Virat Kohli who smacked four hundreds in 2008.

4 Jagadeesan and Sai Sudarshan have become the first pair to involve in a 400-plus partnership in List A cricket. They added 416 runs for the first wicket and broke the previous record of Gayle-Samuels who made 372-run partnership against Zimbabwe in 2015.
