5-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians are spreading their hands widely. Recently the owner of Mumbai Indians, Reliance Industries limited have bought two franchises in two different leagues.
On Wednesday, the Mumbai Indians franchise took to Twitter and announced the names and brand identity of two new teams.‘MI Emirates’ in UAE’s International League T20 and ‘MI Cape Town’in Cricket South Africa T20 League are the two new franchises owned by Mumbai Indians.
The names of the two franchises include Mumbai Indians to make people recognise from where the franchise is based. It will further expand Mumbai Indians influence in the local entities. Both the leagues will be inaugurated next year.
Nita M. Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries said that it gives her great happiness to welcome ‘MI Emirates’ & ‘MI Cape Town’, the newest additions in Mumbai Indians family.
