It’s been 145 years since the first official Cricket Test match, with England taking on Australia.
There has been rapid progress in the game since then, especially over the past thirty years. The advent of Television spurred the globalisation of the game, and there are more than one hundred countries engaged in it in the world now.
However, only a dozen countries are allowed to participate in Test Cricket. The reason is apparent: Test match cricket requires discipline but enormous stamina and resilience.
So, which country has fared better than the other in this format? Indeed, a few countries have played more than the others; hence, one cannot arrive at a proper decision based on victories. Therefore, the best judgement can be arrived at by calculating the percentage of wins.

From the table above, It is clear that Australia is the clear winner despite playing lesser than England. India and South Africa are teams which have increased their percentage of wins over the past few years.
West Indies are in the fourth spot but have lost a lot of ground in the past 15 years, similar to Stop Lanka. Pakistan, who were out in the cold, are on their way back. New Zealand may be the World Champions but has been losing matches since achieving that. India, Pakistan and South Africa are the future teams to watch out for.
