David Warner accomplished multiple feats on day 2 of second test against South Africa.
In the second test match between on Boxing Day between Australia & South Africa in Melbourne, David Warner got his rhythm back as he scored a blistering hundred in 144 balls. With this hundred, Warner equalised Sachin Tendulkar’s feat of scoring most centuries (45) as an opened in International cricket.
After the hundred, Warner did not stop and went on to score double ton in 254 deliveries. Warner became the tenth cricketer to score hundred on his 100th test game & the second cricketer to score double ton on his 100th.
After Ricky Ponting, Warner is the only Australian to score hundred on his 100th test game. Southpaw batter also equalised Gordon Greenidge’s record of scoring century on both 100th test & 100th ODI game. Warner retired hurt when he reached the 200-run-mark.
