India’s star batsman KL Rahul has been out of action since South Africa Series and now the wait is getting longer and longer for him to return back in blue.
KL Rahul was last featured in Test Series against South Africa and from then he has been out due to his Injury of Sports Hernia. Rahul went to Germany for its surgery and it was a successful one. Recently he posted his recovery related videos and was seen regaining his strength at the NCA.
KL Rahul was all expected to make Comeback in T20I series against West Indies and he was also the part of the squad announced by the BCCI. But a couple of days before the series to start on, he got infected by Covid-19 and later on ruled out of the whole T20I series.
On 30th July, BCCI announced the ODI squad for Zimbabwe tour and fans got tensed not to see his name on that list. KL Rahul immediately took on to Twitter and clarified what’s his journey been in last one or two months and he is hopeful to comeback soon in the blue jersey.
KL Rahul stated that his Surgery was conducted in June and he was all set to return through West Indies Series but the Covid didn’t let this happen. So he will have to be away from cricket for a couple of weeks. He also mentioned that representing the national team is the highest honor and he cannot wait to get out there back in blue.
Now after the Zimbabwe Tour, KL Rahul will straight feature in Asia Cup that is scheduled to be played in UAE from 27th August. Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will also make their Comeback in Asia cup. Both were not the part of whole Windies tour and will not be a part of Zimbabwe Tour. Captain Rohit Sharma will also take rest after the Windies series and Shikhar Dhawan will once again lead team india in absence of him.
