Rahul Dravid has been one of the most prestigious coaches of Team India. Coach of U-19 World Cup winning team Dravid has helped India in winning ODI & T20 series in England couple of months ago.
But now, according to the reports by ANI, Rahul Dravid has been tested positive for COVID-19. There might be possibilities that he won’t be part of Team India’s campaign for the most anticipated Asia Cup. Dravid has been a splendid coach so far for team India, his absence will surely influence Team India’s performance.
In the recent ODI series against Zimbabwe which lasted on Monday, Rahul Dravid was given rest from his duty and VVS Laxman was declared the head coach for the series. Dravid last coached Team India on West Indies Tour where Men in Blue comfortably triumphed over the hosts.
Rahul Dravid was adjudged the head coach of Team India in November, 2021. He took the responsibility from Ravi Shastri as India could not make it to T20 World Cup semifinal in UAE and even lost to their arch-rivals Pakistan. Under his coaching, India managed to beat South Africa at home, won against Sri Lanka in T20 & Test series, drew test series in England and won limited over series in England.
