India’s predicted playing XI for the first ODI against Sri Lanka
India will take on Sri Lanka in first ODI on Tuesday.
After thrashing Sri Lanka in the T20 series by 2-1, Men in blue will be looking forward to replicate the same performance in the 50-over format against the neighbours. Furthermore, senior players will return to play the ODI series which includes captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli & Kl Rahul.
While Rohit & Ishan is likely to be the opening partners, Virat Kohli will bat at number 3, followed by Shreyas Iyer at number 4, KL Rahul at number 5, vice-captain Hardik Pandya at number 6 & Washington Sundar at number 7.
Axar Patel is likely to bat at number 8 and as the Jasprit Bumrah is returning to the side, he will lead the pace attack alongside Arshdeep Singh or Mohammed Siraj. Yuzi Chahal may accompany Axar & Sundar in the spin department.
