Shubman Gill stunned the spectators as he hit West Indies Spinner Hayden Walsh for a 104-mt long six.
India has already confirmed the series win by leading the ODI series in the 3match ODI series and is facing West Indies in the final match.
Indian captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and opted to bat first. The Indian team got a brilliant start as the openers Shubman Gill and Shikhar Dhawan put up a 100 runs stand.
Both the batters played some glorious shots throughout the innings but Gill’s six on Walsh’s delivery will be remembered by the viewers for a very long time.
It was the 2nd ball of the 14th over. It was a juicy flighted ball from Walsh on which Gill came dancing down the pitch and bangs it over the boundary. The ball went for 104 m long, a huge six.
The whole crowd including the dressing room was in appreciation after watching this shot. Gill has progressed his innings well from there and scored an eye-catching half-century. He is currently at the crease with Shreyas Iyer. The other opener Shikhar Dhawan has returned to the pavilion after scoring 58 runs.
The promising right-handed batter will look to convert his start into a big score and build up a partnership with the next batters that would take India to a good total in this final match of this series.
