Indian young sensation Rishabh Pant got the prize for his outstanding performance in the final India vs England test match of the series.
Rishabh moves up to his career-best 5th rank in the Test batters ranking due to his splendid 146 in the first innings along with the fighting half-century in the Edgbaston Test.

Not only Rishabh Pant, but the English batter Jonny Bairstow also has climbed up to the 10th position in the Batting ranking in test cricket. Before the New Zealand series he was on the 47th spot and now he is featured in the top 10. He smashed tons in both innings and helped England to cross the victory line with his magnificent partnership with Joe Root in the test match against India.

The former England captain is in his form of his life. He has gone over the century mark 11 times since 2021 and achieved a career-high 923 rating. He also firmed his top spot in Test batters’ ranking.
But with the good news of Rishabh Pant, there is bad news for the Indian fans too as their star batter Virat Kohli slipped down to no 13 spot due to his poor performance since last few times. He has managed to score only 11 and 20 runs in both innings. It’s the first time since 2016 that Kohli isn’t featured in the top 10 test rankings.
The Aussie batsmen Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith are at no 2 and no 3 spot respectively with Pakistan star Babar Azam at 4th spot and Indian Rishabh Pant at 5. For the last few years the Indian wicket-keeper batsman has performed brilliantly for which he climbed up straight 6 places to get his no 5 spot.
