Great news for the Asian cricket fans as three sub continent countries are going to host ICC events in the next cycle of the ICC calendar (2024-2027).
The host nations for every ICC women’s tournament has been decided on 26th July at the ICC Annual Conference at Birmingham. ICC has confirmed that four women’s tournaments will be taking place in the next four years. It will start with the ICC women’s T20 World Cup which will be hosted by Bangladesh.

It will be the first time that Bangladesh will be having the duty to host a major ICC women’s tournament and the second time it will be hosting a T20 World Cup. The event will be held between September-October, and will comprise 10 teams playing a total 23 matches.
The ICC tournament will be back in India in 2025 when they will host ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup,2025. This will be India’s 5th time when they will host a major women’s tournament. 8 teams will compete in this tournament playing a total 31 matches. Eventually India will also host the ICC men’s world cup in 2023.
The next two Women’s T20 world cup will be hosted by England (2026) and Sri Lanka (2027).
Another huge news for the English cricket fans is that The Home of Cricket, Lord’s is going to host two consecutive World Test Championship Final in 2023 and 2025. Last time in 2021 the final had to move to Southampton due to Covid outbreak. So this will be the first time in 2023 that the historic ground will host the final of purest form of cricket.
