Rishabh Pant’s injury has remained a big blow for Team India.
India’s star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant met with a car accident on 30th of December while driving car to his hometown. Owing to the accident, Pant torn three key ligaments in his knee. Two of which have been reconstructed lately and the surgery of the third one is expected to happen after six weeks.
After the surgery, Pant will join the rehabilitation process. It will cost Pant the entire year and will also be unavailable for India in 2023 ODI world cup. It is a huge loss to India as Pant made his name as one of the most dependable batters in the team.
Former Indian captain Kapil Dev expressed his disappointment on Pant’s injury and said “I love him very much. I want him to get well and when he gets well If you go, I will go and slap you hard, because take care of yourself. Look, your injury has spoiled the combination of the whole team. That’s why there is love and affection that you get well soon. Then there is also anger that such mistakes today’s youth Why do boys do it? There should be a slap for that too.”
