Former Proteas captain Graeme Smith thinks India’s Wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik and allrounder Hardik Pandya should be an integral part of India’s squad for T20 World Cup 2022.
Hardik Pandya who was out from the national team after the last t20 World Cup made a strong comeback in T20 series against South Africa with his impressive performance whereas Dinesh Karthik who has not been the part of India’s White ball squad since Cricket World Cup 2019 also showed his potential in recent home series.

Graeme Smith said that Karthik & Hardik should be an important part of T20 WC team. Smith stated that Dinesh Karthik is very experience with the role of finishing while Hardik has gained momentum and has full control of his game. His all-round ability can balance the Indian T20 side so there is no way these two can’t make in the squad for World Cup.
Dinesh Karthik made 92 runs in the recent home series with an average of 46 and outstanding strike rate of 158. Even in IPL 2022, he performed more than the expectations. He scored 333 runs in this IPL season with massive strike rate of 183 and remained the most valuable player for RCB.
While Hardik Pandya also entertained everyone by his batting performance scoring with average of 58 and strike rate of 154. His all-round performance also helped Gujarat titans to clinch their maiden IPL title. In the 4th t20 match against South Africa, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya made 65 runs partnership and helped India leveling the series by 2-2.
