Virat Kohli has proved himself to be one of the greatest batsmen of all time. 33-year-old batter has dominated in all 3 formats at the same time with immense consistentency. Former Indian captain have scored more than 20 thousands runs in his whole international career in which more than 10k runs came in last decade.
But from couple of years, Virat Kohli has lost his touch. He is yet to score an international hundred since November,2019. However he has played many significant knocks since his last hundred but his form went downhill in 2022 as he failed to score runs with 30-plus average.
His poor form has also been affecting Indian batting line-up. Fans are hoping to see the vintage Virat Kohli and wanting him to get back in his old rhythm in the upcoming Asia Cup. It is said that the poor form is affecting Kohli’s mental health as he could not be able to manage the workload. In a recent interview Kohli talked about his loneliness.
Kohli asserted that For an athlete, the sport can bring the best out of him as a player but at the same time, the amount of pressure that a player constantly under can affect his mental health negatively. It is definitely a serious issue and as much as they try to be strong at all times, it can tear you apart.
He personally has experienced times when even in a room full of people who supported and loved me, he felt alone, and he is sure that this is a feeling that a lot of people can relate to, Kohli added.
