In the first ODI between India & England, a little spectator got injured by Rohit Sharma’s outrageous six. However, the girl is fine now.
The incident happed in the 5th over, when Rohit Sharma played David Willey’s delivery for a six in deep square leg, the ball went in the crowd and hit a girl on her back when she was trying to protect herself from the blow. She started crying in pain when the ball hit here. Her father hold her in his arms and started consoling her by rubbing her back.
Just after the incident, the game was halted. Joe Root asked asked England’s physio to check on the girl who was crying in pain. Physio checked her condition and ensured that she is fine which gave huge relief to the cricketers.
The girl’s name is ‘Meera Salvi’ who came to relish the match with her father. After the match, Rohit Sharma took her father’s phone number whereas England team gifted her a jersey and showed a kind gesture.
