Indian Swing master Bhuvneshwar Kumar is in scintillating form from the South Africa home series. He showed England opener Jason Roy the path of the pavilion in the very first ball of the innings in the 2nd T20I match between India and England.
England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to bowl first. Debutant Richard Gleeson had a wonderful performance. He dismissed Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant in his first international match. India put up a score of 170/8 with help of Ravindra Jadeja’s unbeaten knock of 46.
India needed a quick breakthrough to put the pressure on the hosts and India’s Swing master Bhuvneshwar Kumar did exactly the same. He bowled an off-swinging delivery to Jason Roy, tempting him to punch it through the cover. Roy was caught in the trap and went for a punch. The ball took Roy’s outside edge. Rohit Sharma, standing at the slip, didn’t make any mistake to take the catch. Eventually, Roy had to return to the pavilion on a golden duck.
Kumar didn’t stop here and dismissed England captain Jos Butler on the score of 4. Buttler ended his struggling stay at the crease by nicking the ball with the outside edge. Rishabh Pant took a brilliant catch.
Now England David Malan and Liam Livingston are at the crease. Their first aim would be to build a partnership from here. Both the batters will look to spend some time at the crease because both the batter can catch up with the run rate with ease at any point.
