England captain Jos Buttler couldn’t get back his rhythm in the 2nd England vs India ODI too as Md. Shami picked up him with a peach of a delivery.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss again and put the hosts to bat first. The England team got a good start as their openers gave a steady partnership. Jonny Bairstow scored 38 while Jason Roy added 23 before returning to the pavilion. Joe Root couldn’t add much run as Yuzi Chahal plumbed him right in front of the wicket and picked him up as his 2nd wicket in this match.
But England got a massive blow when their captain Jos Buttler got out on only 4 runs. Md. Shami bowled a stunner which was too much for Jos to handle. Shami bowled a beautiful seam up that eventually kept on coming inside while reaching Buttler. The ball hit his pad and crashed on his stumps. Eventually, Buttler had to return.
Md. Shami is looking in a very good rhythm and conceded only 30 runs in 6 overs with a big wicket of Buttler.
England’s score is 101/4 at the end of the 21st over. Ben Stokes and Liam Livingston are at the crease. But If the Indian bowlers can perform according to their merit it won’t be easy at all for them to build up a partnership from here.
