Jasprit Bumrah made his comeback in T20I cricket with an absolute blinder that knocked off England’s Liam Livingstone’s stumps.
The England captain put India to bat first. With debutant Richard Gleeson’s three quick wickets India got stuck but Ravindra Jadeja’s 46 runs helped the team to reach 170/8 at the end of 20 overs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave India a perfect start when he dismissed England opener Jason Roy on the first ball of the innings. He also picked up English captain Jos Butller.
But England got a massive blow when Bumrah got Liam Livingstone with a blinder. Bumrah delivered an off-cutter to Liam that came back sharply. It snuck through the gap between Liam’s bat and pad and hit the top of the middle stumps. Though he was looking good at the crease but got out on 15 runs and had to return to the pavilion.
England is now on 55/4 after the end of the 9th over. David Malan and Moeen Ali are at the crease and looking up to take England over the line and come back in the series. But in front of the strong bowling lineup of Indians, it certainly won’t be an easy job to perform.
