BCCI has finally announced the squad for T20I series that India is going to play against West Indies in the Caribbean after completing the UK tour.
As previously expected, Virat Kohli has been given rest for this tour as well as Speedster Jasprit Bumrah and leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Virat Kohli’s off form has been a hot topic for world cricket since last few years. Sunil Gavaskar backed him as well as told he shouldn’t be given rest in the West Indies tour. But ultimately he has been rested for this tour.

The big news is Vice captain KL Rahul is back in the team after his successful surgery. As a surprise package Ravichandran Ashwin has made a comeback in the the T20I squad as well as Kuldeep Yadav , who will be seen in blue after a long time. He got the prize of performing well for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2022.

Ishan Kishan is chosen as the 3rd opener after Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. Deepak Hooda, who is in red hot form, Surya Kumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, are included in the team for the choices of Middle order.
Dinesh Karthik is chosen as the 2nd Wicket-keeper along with Rishabh Pant. Interestingly, Wicket-Kepper batsman Sanju Samson has also been dropped. The role of All- rounder will be handled by Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel.
In absence of Chahal, Ravi Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav will be in charge of the spin department.
Harshal Patel , Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan will be the pacers along with the experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar. But big news is Jammu express Umran Malik is dropped from the team.
