BCCI finally announced India’s 15-men squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia which is set to commence in October month.
Captain Rohit Sharma & Vice-captain KL Rahul will be the openers of Indian side. Virat Kohli will continue to bat at number 3 for India. He was phenomenal in Asia Cup scoring more than 275 runs with an impressive average including 2 fifties and a hundred.
Responsibility of the middle order has been given to Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda. However, Suryakumar Yadav did not perform up to expectations in Asia Cup but he was terrific in T20 series against England in July.
Rishabh Pant or Dinesh are the two wicket-keepers in the team at the lower order followed by allrounder Hardik Pandya. Ravindra Jadeja who was in great touch in T20Is did not get chance in the squad due to his recent surgery.
Ravichandran Ashwin & Yuzvendra Chahal will be the two spinners in Indian bowling lineup. Unfortunately Ravi Bishnoi could not make into the squad who performed brilliantly in game against Pakistan in Asia Cup. Jasprit Bumrah, B Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh will play the role of pacers in Indian bowling lineup.
