BCCI announce India’s ODI & T20 squad for Sri Lanka series, A senior player gets dropped

BCCI announced Team India’s squad for the ODI & T20 series against Sri Lanka.

The first T20 game will be played on 3rd January, second one on 5th January & the last one on 7th January in Mumbai, Pune & Rajkot respectively. Afterwards Men in blue would face the same opposition in ODI series on 10th, 12th & 15th January in Guwahati, Kolkata & Thiruvananthpuram respectively.

Hardik Pandya is named as the captain of India’s squad for T20 series, whereas Suryakumar Yadav will take the responsibility of vice-captaincy in the absence of Rohit Sharma & Kl Rahul. In ODI squad, Rohit will be back to manage his captain’s responsibilities.

Opener Shikhar Dhawan who has been pivotal part of Team India’s ODI team has been dropping after his poor stint in the last series. Ravindra Jadeja who was likely to make his comeback through the white-ball series against Sri Lanka is yet to be recovered.

India’s T20i squad against Sri Lanka:

Hardik (C), Surya, Kishan, Ruturaj, Gill, Hooda, Tripathi, Samson, Arshdeep, Sundar, Axar, Chahal, Harshal, Umran, Mukesh Kumar and Shivam Mavi.

India’s ODI squad against Sri Lanka:

Rohit (C), Hardik, Kohli, Gill, Surya, KL, Iyer, Kishan, Sundar, Chahal, Kuldeep, Axar, Siraj, Shami, Umran and Arshdeep.
