Former Indian pacer and Gujarat Titans coach Ashish Nehra opined his Indian squad for upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
Ashish Nehra has chosen Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul as the opener of his team. When being asked about KL’s selection, Nehra said that they still have a long way to go as far as the T20 World Cup is concerned, so he thinks they will see a lot from KL Rahul in the next six games.
Nehra picked Virat Kohli as the number 3 batsman for his team. Kohli remained India’s leading run-scorer, making more than 250 runs in the tournament with more than 90 average. Nehra chose Suryakumar Yadav to bat in the middle of his team.SKY should be in the eleven because you then have an alternative to Rishabh Pant. You can swap the two—on 4 or 5, Nehra said.
After that, Jadeja selected Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja to bat at number 5 & number 6 respectively. In the bowling departments, Nehra made some interesting choices as his kept out Deepak Chahar from the squad and kept faith on Chahal & Ashwin. He then named his four pacers for the squad – Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah.
