An Ambulance made its way on the cricket field during an Indian domestic cricket game.
During Duleep trophy semifinal game between West Zone and Central zone, Central Zone’s all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer got an injury on his head while batting against Chintan Gaja. Venkatesh Iyer smashed a six off Gaja on the first delivery he faced.
On the second delivery, Iyer hit the ball at Gaja who stopped the ball and threw it at Iyer in anger. The ball hit Iyer on his head who sat on the ground in pain. Afterwards, an Ambulance was called which came at the middle of the ground although Iyer decided to walk by himself off the field.
However, Iyer again came to bat but could not last long and got dismissed in 37th over after scoring 14 runs off 9 deliveries. Earlier, West Zone scored 252/9 at the stumps on the first day of the semifinal game. Prithvi Shaw’s quick fire 60 runs & Rahul Tripathi’s unbeaten 64 runs helped West Zone to cross 250-run-mark.
