The series decider of the India vs South Africa T20I series washed away in M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru due to rain leaving all the fans in great disappointment. The match was called off only after both teams got hardly 20 min playtime. The series ends up in a level 2-2 draw and both teams have to share the Paytm trophy they were playing for.
After this washout, analyst, Akash Chopra came up with a solution through Twitter. He suggested that BCCI should make arrangements for a retractable roof in the stadiums as with the huge broadcast money and in monsoon, it’s a foolish decision to keep the rain out of the equation.
Just after this tweet, a fan reacted with a video clip where it’s showing that rains are coming through the roof of the stadium and the sitting area for the spectators is completely wet and water soaked. The fan also added that BCCI should first take care of the existing stadium roof and provide a better experience to the spectators. Then only they can think about a retractable roof.
